Prince Zilah - Volume I by Jules Claretie

Book review

Water rhinos, which lasted about twenty million years, were a side branch of the rhinoceros family tree. The main line of the family of rhinos evolved in the New World, or rather, in North America. The remains of fossil rhinos are on the vast territory of the United States - Maryland, and North and South Carolina, on the Florida Peninsula and the Far West. American Rhinos lived in the woods, and even in the mountains. And they are becoming larger and larger. Apparently, an offshoot of the main trunk of the rhinoceros tribe migrated across the Bering Strait to Asia, Africa and Europe. And one of the rhino species started to develop the North. With the onset of the ice age North Rhino "put on" a warm coat. In the expanses of Siberia near the glaciers, covering large areas of Europe, became a wandering beast covered with brown fur and a half meters in height at the withers, three and a half meters long, armed with two horns, the front of which reached 130 centimeters in length!
