The absurdity and uncertainty Grand Admiral Raeder particularly evident in his dealings with the Fleet Commander Admiral Wilhelm Marshall, an outstanding naval tactics.
Marshall was born in Augsburg, September 30, 1886. He joined the Imperial Navy in 1906, as zeekadeta. After becoming in 1909 an officer, Marshall served on many different types of vessels - from holey Posudin to the newest battleships. In 1916 he was sent to the submarine school. The last two years of the "Great War," he commanded the UC-74 and UB-105 and sent to the bottom of a fair number of ships of the Entente. Marshall was awarded the Order of
